Funding

Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) requires industry to participate in the regional monitoring of ambient (outdoor) air quality, as a condition of being able to operate. This includes participating on the Board and technical committees of the local air monitoring society.

In our case, we are largely funded by local industry via the Northeast Capital Industrial Association. Other funding comes from the provincial and federal governments. Special projects are often funded by third parties for a limited time. We also receive funding from Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Association for communications projects and activities.
