The Government of Alberta released its 2023 Alberta Wildfire’s seasonal statistics recently. The data is current to November 30, 2023. You will see in the graphic below that 2,211,900 hectares were burned. Well above the 2018-2022 average of just under 200,000 hectares burned annually.
